The very first page we drew for the program (September 2014) was a simple prompt: what I did on my summer vacation.
It could be as true or fictional as you wanted, but it had to be restricted to a single page - the idea was to give our instructor an idea of where we were starting from. The results were pretty damn funny and that set the tone for the whole class.

Bristol and ink, cleaned up a little in photoshop. I'm so neurotic about wasting traditional supplies that filling in all that black just about gave me a nervous breakdown, but the marker I used is still working 6 years later, so lesson learned, I guess? =P
